WHAT IS DCYM?
DCYM, or the Diocesan Council on Youth Ministry, is a regular gathering of youth and youth leaders across the diocese. Each parish is invited to attend with two youth and one adult youth leader.
DCYM provides the springboard for diocesan youth ministry events and serves as a networking tool to help keep parishes connected across the diocese. Folks who serve on DCYM are also invited to participate in Episcopal youth leadership opportunities on both the provincial and Episcopal Church-wide levels. This includes serving as DCYM delegates and youth presence at Diocesan Convention, representing the diocese at the annual Province IV Youth Network Meeting, and attending the triennial Episcopal Youth Event.
DCYM Mission Statement
The Diocesan Council on Youth Ministry strives to connect the youth of the Diocese through acceptance in a Christ-centered community which seeks to empower youth, engage with parishes, and support each other on our walks with Christ.
